Hi everyone,

It's been a while, hopefully everyone still remembers this blog and how to access it. :)

Anyway, some new updates, the movie Time Traveler's Wife is out in the cinemas now! I have yet to watch it though, so those who have watched it, please please upload some reviews!

Also, here's a list of authors you should try reading:
1. Jodi Picoult
2. Neil Gaiman
3. Paolo Coelho
4. Khaled Hosseini "The Kite Runner"

So when the kids start sitting for the exam, you know what to do; pick up one of the recommended reads. :)

Cheers,
Sha.

Hey all,

The movie adaptation of one of my favourite books, the Time Traveller's Wife, is gonna be screened soon!

i can't wait to watch this, but then again, i'm not too sure whether this would do justice to the book, which was an awesome read. the movie adaptation makes me ponder about how i would feel about seeing those characters on screen. it would, of course, pain me to see my favourite characters being mangled on the big screen. (think Harry Potter and you know what i mean)

Sometimes elegant flowy prose and a lively imagination of intelligent writing can be a better companion than the loud explosions of hollywood.

This is a book that has left me completely enthralled and intrigued, so i'm definitely thrilled and at the same time, hoping that the screen adaptation would not be a disappointment. The casting is great anyway - Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. :)

Click here to watch the official trailer.

So read it ! What are you waiting for? :)

- Faith

I just completed this book not too long ago. It is a true story by the way. A Child Called 'It', The Lost Boy and A Man Named Dave all became global bestsellers. My Story brings these three volumes together, following Dave from a childhood spent in fear, his tempestuous teenage years, through to adulthood and his dedication in helping others overcome similar adversity. This is a remarkable story of courage and survival. You will never expect how extreme child abuse can get and how strong-willed a person can be until you read this book. The stories do trigger a lot of emotions and thoughts though. This book has been around for quite some time so I think it should be easily available in the National Library ~ Mr. J

I love reading!

And that will be Audrey Niffenegger's "Time Traveler's Wife" which is really a fantastic book to read. It is at heart, an epic love story (so to all those closet sappy people, get the book now!) about a man named Henry who has a medical condition that enables him to travel through time, and he has absolutely no control over it. That's how he met the love of his life, Clare. He was 36 and she was 6, and NO, he's not a paedophile ok. hahaa. You just have to read the book to fully appreciate it, because I'm not doing enough justice to it as my explanation is sooooo lame!

Ok here's a nice link for you to understand it better: http://www.bookbrowse.com/reviews/index.cfm?book_number=1276

Plus, I think they have made it into a movie which is coming out this August. Starring Rachel McAdams, whom I love!

I have so far managed to get only Najmon to read it, and she loves it too. So start reading it everyone!

Love,
Sha :)
